Morning eBayers. Question. I have a few things I need to sell. |
|
Not only because I could use the money but my kids do not want these things. I tried to give them stuff but they are not interested in silver. I think it is sad.
Have any of you ever sold something like a silver tea and coffee service?(Coffee, Tea, Hot Water on stand w/burner, Sugar, Cream and Waste. I also have the 3 pc Demitasse service. The tray was my later purchase,is silver plate and is pretty but of no real value.
I have checked the prices that Replacements Ltd. sells this set for and it astounds me. I understand they pay nothing for their stock. I could list it on eBay but the photo's would be a problem for me.
Is there a way to check history on eBay to see what a comparable set would have sold for?
There are no high end shops left in my area any more for me to consign the sets and one jeweler said he would buy it for scrap. I won't do that. I love the set and would like to sell it, If I wanted to scrap it, I could do that today.
I have no idea what is being paid for scrap silver(I have some junk stuff) now that the market price is so high.
Any advice?

1. you can view 30 days history of completed auctions on ebay |
|
You need to sign in as a member to view them. Then you click on "advanced search" and click on the choice for "completed" and type in your search terms. Sterling silver coffee service or something like that.
The price of silver has been skyrocketing.

2. photos would be a problem because.......? |

If you have a camera, there is a way to get photos up. Doesn't even have to be a digital camera. I'm sure that some of us on this forum could coach you through it.
