1. I'm watching the hearing on C-Span now. Hagle is up and is going right to |
|
the nitty gritty.
Joe explained that the Dems weren't there because they were holding a caucus to discuss the economic plan, but that HE would rather be THERE at the hearing.
Al always, he gets the big picture.

3. Screw it - I hope that whoever wins has Biden has SoS. |
|
He needs to be in a position where he can get it done. He cares, and understands, so deeply about foreign affairs. If he leaves, Dodd would move into his seat as Chairman, and that wouldn't be so bad.
I'm beginning to think his hands are tied in the Senate. Just look at his plan for Iraq. It keeps going nowhere. As his plan for Afghanistan will do.

4. those are a lot of good points! |

Dodd is up to the job too. Hell, even Norm Coleman didn't take everything the Bush reps said today!
Unless we can get Biden 60 Dem. senators, maybe Sec. of State would work best...
Well, ultimately, whatever Biden wants. If it was HRC, working under Bill C. might be tough but maybe by then Bill will have calmed down a bit.
When does he have to deal with re-election for his Senate seat?

He isn't going to be in the senate forever,so he might as well go for it. I will be willing to give him up as my senator for the good of the country and the world. Besides,SOS from little old Delaware would be great.
Doesn't matter what we think though.

7. But the Plan for Iraq and the Afghanistan plans might be welcomed by a |
|
Dem administration -- it's not the SENATE he had trouble convincing, it's getting Bush to sign.
