It's Joe.
Did you see the clip of him being asked by reporters? the one after he said I'm not the guy?

He had a coy smile.

It's him. :bounce:

2. Not for me man, I am going to go get a beer
(It's 3:15pm here)

Shit they are playing that clip again in CNN. He is grinning ear to ear when he tells the reporters he doesn't know anything.

3. I freaked last night.
It was late & I had fallen asleep in my easy chair. My husband was closing the house up & not in the living room. With sleepy eyes I read the CNN headline, "Dem VP Pick: Buzz for Biden." Somehow I completely missed the words "Buzz for." I jumped out of my chair & starting whooping & jumping up & down & yelling "Yes! Yes! Yes!" My husband came running up from the basement, not sure what the hell was going on. "It's Biden! The dem VP is Biden!" He read the headline & said, "Hon, the buzz is for Biden. It doesn't mean the pick is Biden."

Ack!

Fingers crossed!

5. This morning I'm thinking he's not the guy.
I just feel he told it like it is, then thought maybe he'd said too much -- since Obama's camp didn't want ANY hints out there.

So, for the moment anyway, I'm thinking it's not Joe.

And I'm surprised that disappoints me, since he really better deserves SOS. He needs to be the boss - not answering TO the boss.

6. I don't want it to be Joe.
(are you shocked?)

Looking at the paper today, what's in the headlines?
Russia
Afghanistan
Pakistan
Iraq

How can Biden sit back and do whatever Obama asks him to do when all of this is going on
in the world? Foreign policy is in his DNA, he should be SoS.
I'm afraid Biden would be stiffled as VP. It think it would be hard for him to sit there and watch President Obama.

The only real reasons why I want him to be VP is for the excitement of my favorite politician to be
vp; and since McCain is their nominee, Biden will help Obama win. To borrow a famous Biden question
"Then What?". Then you have a nice little office in the WH and play puppet to the President? No thanks. Biden has too much going for him for that.

7. I agree with Pirhana.
If he is the one, I will be so proud as will the majority of Delaware, But I think he is better suited to SOS. To pick him as vp will leave too big a hole in the Senate and I'm sorry, but I don't see Obama taking direction from anyone, except maybe michelle

9. I think most of us feel that way
but now its come to who would really help Obama win? And I think Biden is the best bet in that sense. Meanwhile, he could end up being a more hands-on VP with a great deal of influence. We know he'll let Obama know whats on his mind.

10. If Obama should pick Hillary there is no way Biden would be SOS, etc.
Dontcha think? Imagine SOS Biden having to deal with Hillary/Bill. I only mention Hill because it seems Bayh is such a loser as a VP, and Kaine doesn't add much, etc.. Obama could fool us with his choice. Now, if he should pick Feingold, different story, won't happen tho.

Biden might be more powerful in the office of VP than in any committee in the Senate. Obama better hurry, waiting could do more harm than good with the media in a frenzy.

11. I think Hillary and Joe have a lot of respect for one another --
he never came out and endorsed Obama, for example.

I think she'd be okay with it, although it wouldn't be her call.

And I think Joe would be less bothered by Bill if he were SOS, then he would be if Hillary was President and Joe was the VP.

I agree about Obama getting on with it. What on earth is he waiting for?

I'm thinking Friday, now. I know people say Friday is a bad day to break news, but this would be BIG news and it would be continued on Saturday when he appears with the VP.

I'll be dead by then.
