Plane carrying Biden touches down in NCC

A charter plane carrying Democratic vice president candidate Joe Biden touched down at the New Castle County Airport tonight.

His private flight departed from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Ill., at 6:22 p.m. and landed in Delaware 7:58 p.m.

Biden appeared in Springfield this afternoon with U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who declared him his running mate.

A motorcade is expected to take Delaware’s senior senator to his Greenville home.
