6. Last night on CNN

they had story about a guy who collected old political paraphernalia. His collection was fascinating & quite extensive! He showed some buttons from our founder's time - many of which were meant to be sewn onto your clothing, not just pinned temporarily. He also showed a straw hat from Ike's campaign. He told how today they make hats of a similar style, but now they make them out of styrofoam. :P

Remember in the movie "National Treasure" when the Nick Cage character gave the museum chick that old campaign button? I'll bet it's fun as hell to collect things like that. It is certainly something I never thought of!

whether or not they deliver we'll see - I hear that it is day to day craziness and receptions as well as the actual reception. Wish I were there even if just for one night...guess which night??!! :P
