you can get to meet the candidates - if you choose to seek them out, there is oftentimes an opportunity. In the case of Joe (my Hero), it took not that much effort to have a few minutes of his time. Talked to his staffer, and "viola!" He spent a few minutes talking with me and personally introduced me to Jill and Ashley. Cool, huh?
The majority of a day I spent with Hunter, now that is another story.

Stay safe in the lightening storm! I never had a respect for it until I moved to NC. But now I do and I'm glad you're taking precautions.

One of the 'news' stations just did a recap of some late night time talk show Sarah Palin jokes. Craig Ferguson had a good one. He gave a recap of Palin's family - that she has a baby & her daughter has one on the way. He said she knew how to change a diaper, which was good since she was going to be working with McCain. I damn near spit my coffee out!
