Help O-Joe, please.
Twice I've heard/seen that Joe 'got only 8000 votes,' and sarah has received ### (alaska governor).

Can we determine how many Joe actually received during primaries, and try to set record straight?

Thanks!

1. Joe got hunderds of thousands of votes.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 07:31 PM by 1corona4u
Even after he dropped out of the race. If I remember correctly, he got 19,000 in my county. Oh, and she's comparing oranges to apples. Joe obviously wins every term in DE? How many is that....has to be hundreds of thousands....stupid bitch.

4. Thought so,
but as I've heard this b.s. line several times, I think we should obtain an 'official' response.

Just heard it during piece on npr.

none would be, and going back and forth, well . . .

But . . . I'd like to be prepared for next time, to write to someone.

How about, # votes he received in his last Senatorial election?

7. I've got a rough total of 79,000 for Pres 2008, more than 100,000 each senate race
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 07:46 PM by JoeIsOneOfUs
Used this link on NYT to get state-by-state data

http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/delegates/index.html

Using only primary results and add them up in a spreadsheet, I got a very fast count of 79477 (someone should doublecheck me)

Those are all AFTER he dropped out of Iowa (didn't count caucuses since most don't release the actually votes at each local caucus)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biden#2008_Senate_candidacy shows more than 90,000 in every Senate election (state-wide so comparable to her Governor's race)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_Joe_Biden has different analyses dealing with Florida, Michigan etc.

Gotta run but hope that helps and you can turn it into an OP

11. GREAT WORK, guys!
I think I'll write NPR about this, and advise them/suggest they not let this highly erroneous b.s. get on the air without contradiction.

AND if I ever hear it again, I'll know what to do. Sounds like one of those sick 'memes' that one always has to contend with!

that one pretty quickly. You could tell he was a bit perturbed by some of his colleagues glowing praise of Palin.
