CNN - omg -
AC360 has a piece on Biden tonite.

What a mixed bag.
They finally decided to talk about his accomplishments, but they had to throw in Clarence Thomas; his gaffes - about describing Obama, about asking the man in the wheelchair to stand up and how he is called the Senator from mbna. Oh, and that he talks too much.

Let's just say it was a step up from this weekend's show, but not much better.

3. So I'm rewatching it - and AC said that today was Biden's first day
out on the trail by himself!
And then he said that he already has made gaffes!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Pirhana not happy.

4. Which lead me to this-
Watching your show tonite, I cannot believe that you said that today was the first time that Joe Biden went solo! Anderson - Biden has been going solo since before the Dem convention! How is it possible that someone who has their own cable news show would not know this?
And after saying that, YOU had the nerve to talk about Biden's gaffes? haha!
Could it be because you have been a little too fixated on Palin that you forgot to investigate what the other VP candidate has been doing?
AND - about Biden's gaffes - I dare you to keep track of his gaffes and compare his to Palin's; or even McCain's.
I have really become disgusted with the negative reporting your network has given to Joe Biden, after seeing that hit piece your network did on him over the weekend - the one that had all the blogs buzzing - and now this piece on your show.
Biden is a good man, and inspite of the right wing talking point that Obama wishes he would picked Hillary instead, the Democrats are extremely happy with Obama's choice. Please treat Joe Biden with respect he deserves by honest reporting....and that might mean doing a little research on your part.
Thank you.

if anyone wants to join me ;)

As Anderson Cooper always says "keeping them honest".

6. I don't know - I just can't believe he said that.
That is really sad that a cable news guy could think this was Biden's first day out.

come to think of it, he also said Biden did an interview with 60 minutes??? Have you heard anything about that?
Maybe all the phone calls DUers made to CNN telling them equal time for Biden got to him and he was grasping at straws trying to put something together?

It was like watching the Twilight Zone! And I usually like AC.

11. Good letter!
I've sent many comments to CNN & only get canned responses. I suspect you'll get the same. I wonder if they read them?

After Katrina, I had hopes for Cooper. I think seeing how NOLA was abandoned really impacted him. But it seems that he is back on track with the corporate message again. I wonder if they threaten them? Tow the corporate line or get out. ? They have certainly minimized Cafferty's air time. He used to be on the morning show & the weekend money show. Now he gets a couple of three minutes spots during Blitzer's show.

I've been watching less & less of MSM - it just pisses me off. They aren't even subtle in their support of McCain/Palin. Their Palin worship is embarrassing to watch. My god, she's totally unqualified to be VP, much less prez & yet they bow down & kiss her feet. It's pathetic. It's a sad commentary that you get better news from TDS & Colbert. Our country must be the laughing stock of the rest of the world as we stomp around with our "we're the greatest nation on the planet" delusional bullshit.

I loved the SNL skit, especially when the Hillary character said something to the effect of being surprised that people were suddenly concerned about sexism in the media.

Ok, I'm sufficiently worked up now, so I'm going to work out & burn off some of my anger. ;)

Your letter was great. I hope they read it.

13. I just sent him one too....
Mentioned those all important MRAPs in mine and told him why it was so important to me as an Army wife that Biden's creds on the military are fully explored. He's the only politician I have ever seen that ends every speech with "And may God protect our Troops!"

9. Done. I used to really like and respect AC -- but I haven't had cable in a few
years.

Anderson, please report on what the candidates can bring to the country if elected. Repeating the same old criticisms has gotten old. We've all heard the negative charges against BIden countless times. Our country is in a precarious position, and we need to know what each ticket believes is the best way to help us. This is important - please act responsibly. We need your help in this during this crucial time.

12. Hey, I saw that too.
He recovered so brilliantly and honestly from the "stand up so we can see you!" comment though. And then I saw Beau Biden on Leno talking about how "we Biden's can sure talk!", and Leno did a really nice job of highlighting a lot of the things that are so very special about Joe, and his praise was extremely sincere.

That was absolutely a fantastic interview.

Maybe that's the clue.
Watch the entertainment instead of the news.

16. What does Obama have to snack on in that picture?
I am leaning towards it being a hotdog, but for some reason, that seems wrong too.

Dumb DU, I had to shrink it down so little to fit their guidelines.
I just love that pic because it shows the chemistry between them - Obama tearing off a piece of Joe's pretzel.

18. Yeah, I know, huh?
I had a feeling very early on that if Obama was the Nominee, he'd pick Biden. Those two DO have great chemistry.

I think it's called "mutual respect".
