".....since I was, like, in the second grade." Palin
Palin: Biden looks 'pretty doggone confident's

Amie Parnes, with the Republicans in Columbus, Ohio, reports that Palin told the crowd she looks forward to debating Biden on Thursday.

“I’m gonna talk about those new ideas,” she said.

Once again, she tried to lower expectations and repeats, “I’ve been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was like in the second grade.”

And added that Biden is a “great debater and looks pretty doggone confident, like he’s gonna win.”

Palin spoke briefly about the McCain Obama debate on Friday saying McCain was “the only man on that stage that talked about the wars that America is fighting and wasn’t afraid to use the word victory.

“He’s the only man on that stage would solve our economic crisis and not exploit it,” she said.

1. "since she was LIKE, in the 2nd grade"...
You know, I say; it's like; like; all the time, but I don't expect my leaders to use it. :eyes:

She is so out of her league. Seriously.

2. OMG he's like sooooo totally older than me and been around for like EVER!
Unlike John, he's so awesome and like NOT a grody old geezer! Gag me with a spoon!

++++++

I was such a Valley wannabe (growing up in Montana we weren't THAT far away from CA!) but grew out of most of the language - (unfortunately for Debi Jr. I still use 'awesome' and 'dude' far too much in daily conversation). However, I am NOT trying to become the Vice-President of the United States.

5. Should we start crying 'ageism'?
She makes fun of Joe's age, yet we aren't allowed to talk about the fact that she is a woman.

She has NO class, NO manners, NO clue.
Sarah Palin is total trash with a pretty face.

7. She was also way overblowing Joe's statement about clean coal --
"So Joe Biden said, sorry, Ohio, no clean coal industry for you." Shit like that. SO aggravating. The same type of snarky one liners she had in her RNC speech.

9. I read that she called it the Obama/Biden position on clean coal.
And who the heck is she to talk about saying something that doesn't agree with the campaign's official position? What an idiot.

11. What an annoying and untrue comment --
as if Joe would have been well known for making Senate speeches as a freshman senator, where they are mostly supposed to take a back seat and learn from the senior members. I don't remember Joe really rising to national prominence until the early '80s or late '70s, which would have put her in high school since she graduated in '82. Somehow I doubt she was paying that much attention to politics in HS. If she had been paying that much attention to senate speeches since then I think she would be better informed on the issues than she appears!

Also as Palin is going on 45 herself she is middle-aged. Poking fun at Joe's age doesn't work in this case since Joe is youthful, attractive and healthy for his age. I don't like to see anyone using agism against opponents though as a tactic, even with McCain.

12. That woman is such an idiot
Edited on Tue Sep-30-08 01:08 AM by susanwy
She is EXACTLY my age, we graduated HS the same year. She reminds me of all those preppy, stuck up girls who were sooooo mean in HS. I know those girls, and some grew up and gained a conscious, others never have. I was once in a woman's group therapy setting (for chronic illness), and one of THOSE girls from my HS was there too. She cried and apologized for how mean she was, it was very emotional for both of us. I do business with another one of THOSE girls and she is just as petty, gossip mongering, and mean-spirited as she was the day she graduated (guess who she just loves).

Plus, we didn't use the valley girl speak in '82, at least not that I remember (of course I might have been a little to busy partying with the group that was stuck in the late seventies :hippie:). I've worked in State government for 18 years and the crap Palin has pulled as gov would get you fired and arrested for fraud and ethics violations in my State.

I know Joe will eloquently wipe the floor with her and I can't wait to witness the slaughter.

13. I know what you're talking about
I recognized her immediately. I've known so many "Sarahs" in my life and I figure there are a lot of women out there who recognize her as well.

After HS, she also was that annoying mother who went to school and yelled at the principal or a teacher in front of all the other mothers, because HER kid could do no wrong. Of course, the poor kid was usually mortified. She was loud, bossy, self-absorbed, and exhausting. I won't cut her any slack.

14. What really pisses me off is the number of threads where DUers
are stating we shouldn't underestimate her. Everything from "she's a good debater" to "the repubs are hiding her great debate skills so we will be blindsided."

Trust me, if this dimwit had great debate skills, they would have her in front of cameras 24x7, not sulking at some frickin' bar while Rudy speaks for McCain after his debate. She's so in over her head. All Joe has to do is stand back & let that vacuous dimwit talk. She's a lot like boosh - if you don't shut her up, she just keeps speaking in circles & goes nowhere. That's because she can't put a coherent thought together in that airspace between her ears.

I have such dislike for her. She makes me :puke:
