I think it's hysterical... |
|
that so many people on this board, are projecting what Joe will say tonight, and what he won't say. We all know what Joe will and won't do. We've seen this movie before. :-)

Joe should say this - Joe shouldn't say this - Joe should be careful not to come across like this.
Holy shit. :eyes:

|
Hello? Joe is not the moderator of the debate.
So funny.

his vote for the war, tax breaks, healthcare, probably the bk bill, energy, and maybe a couple of personal things if she feels brave....I don't think she will be able to remember everything though...

5. and isn't it funny no long-term Bidenites are making recommendations |
|
and prognostications? We know that Biden, and the Obama campaign, are smart and know what they're doing. I for one am nervous about the media spin, but that's sort of beyond anyone's control.
Best just to ignore many of those threads - guess it's no stranger than people yelling at the TV screen during a ball game :)

7. I can't believe how little people know about Biden. |
|
Olbermann and MacCaskill were talking about what Biden should say if asked why he voted for the war and is now against it.
Biden has answered that many, many times before - ".....I never dreamed they would be so incompetent".

10. Some of the best are from |
|
those who blasted Joe last year in the primary's.
Last year he was a closet raceist.
this year he is the perfect running mate.
being a Bidenite all along has made me something of a hero around here.
I accept their support, now. but an apology would be nice...
Frankly I think most (new) supporters are not clean nor articulate!
Joe did what I figured he would do in the VP debate. I do wish he would have called her a lair when he obviously really really wanted to. instead of Boxing with phalin he should have been more of a full contact cage match. then again if he had done that he may have alienated lots of support he actually gained by debating nice.

in his subtle, Biden way. Can't remember the details right now as I'm kind of sleepy. He handled her beautifully and let the media do the nasty stuff.
I don't suppose we'll be seeing any apologies any time soon, but it sure is nice to be right, isn't it?

There is an excellent breakdown of Biden's performance here: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Chris%20Weigant/14Actually Biden basically called her a liar more than I realized. He is so smooth.

your correct. I watched the debate on cnn with my eyes glued to the "group reaction" running graph. so I could see where (what issues) to target my blogging.
watching individual questions ans seeing his facial expressions yes he held back and called her a lair neumorus times. His Body language was straight forward while hers was nervous defaulting to "suggestive sexual", nervously to hide her falling flat.

15. It really is interesting to revisit the debate |
|
and realize all the details we miss the first time around.
I've decided that I don't like that 'group reaction' graph. It is too distracting and like the op said, it can affect a viewer's reaction. I wish CNN would stop doing that. It might be interesting to rewatch a debate with viewers' reactions, but not the first time.

I like it, so I can see where the particular crowd is going. The sample does not get to see the graph only those viewing do.
I know I am enough of a Political Junkie, I will re watch a different channel rerun the same night.

a small sampling of voters and it comes across too much like a gimmick. I used to watch debates with the graph, but I finally weaned myself off CNN about a year ago. It really was an addiction. Now I just drop in occasionally for certain shows and find I can actually switch the channel without too much difficulty. Of course, Wolf Blitzer helped with my recovery. I really can't stand listening to him.
I understand completely about watching more than one channel's version of a political event. It really is a disease.
