I love this guy.

Last nite he said that was Biden's best debate ever.

Tonite he was on Larry King and it was all about the mooseprincess. Everyone was talking how she did so much better than anyone expected. Then some rw talking head was going on and on about how wonderful Sarah did. The show was over. Larry King saw that David Gergen wanted to say something.
David said (paraphrasing) we need to get something straight here. People want sophistication on a wide variety of topics from a VP candidate, and that is what Joe Biden displayed, not Sarah Palin.

2. I missed it too

but I've always admired David Gergen since he went to work for the Clinton Administration. I remember him being asked about that and he said something like, when your president asks you for help you don't hesitate, or words to that effect.

A real old-fashioned public servant. I think I heard him admit once that he's gone more to the liberal side since George Bush.

5. Gergen has worked for both parties' presidents, right? he knows something about

real bipartisanship, real effective govmt. If I'm picturing the right guy, he finds Palin beyond disturbing.

4. I like Gergen too. He's thoughtful, soft spoken & considerate -

something I would like to see in more of our television pundits & personalities.

Anderson Cooper had a special with just Gergen & Fareed Zakaria. It was called Extreme Challenges. I looked for it to replay the two weeks after & never saw it again. I was disappointed. I thought both had very good points to make & it was refreshing to hear three intelligent people discuss current politics & world affairs without shouting & interrupting.

8. Always liked Gergen. Don't agree with him 100% of the time but I respect him.

He has a real feel for cutting through the bs. Glad to see that he brought up Biden's wonderful performance.
