3. Great article!
Thanks for posting.

I especially liked this:

Q - GIVE WHAT YOU JUST SAID DO YOU THINK YOUR ROLE AS VP WOULD BE A
MUCH MORE ACTIVIST OR PRACTICAL ROLE IN THE SENATE?

Well I think so. We've talked about this. I mean I have --
presumptuous of me to say -- but I really have genuine relationships
with Republican leaders in the House and the Senate. I mean, I – I
hope, this is not self serving, but I've gained the respect. I've
never once misled any of my colleagues, Democrat or Republicans. And
I've been able to literally work with the Republican leaders, of the
committees as well as, as well as the Senate.
And Barack knows that,
Barack ahs served there and sees that. And one of my roles will be not
to be the guy – Barack is going to be the guy who makes the policies and
makes the decision. I'll give my best judgment. But I'm confident that
I'll be spending a fair amount of time.

Look – I know, to say it sounds trite, we're in a deep hole, man. And
the Republicans get it. The Republicans – they're going to be very
chastened by this election win or lose. I doubt whether you're going
to see a lot of Republicans coming back talking about compassionate
conservatism I doubt whether you're going to find many Republicans in
the United States House and Senate talking about how if you just let
this stuff trickle down, and all you got to do is more of the same. I
mean, they don't use that phraseology, but I really think this is a
mindset changing election. And so I think there is going to be a
center that can generate some genuine, bipartisan consensus. I really
think

Now will it be overwhelmingly Democrat? Yeah! But you can't get any of
this done. You can't get a major energy policy unless you get buy in
from the Republicans. You can't get a major economic rescue policy.
You can't get a policy. I just – I think that
is ready. I think the message of this election, whether we make gains,
whether we win or not, it's not going to be the status quo. There's
not going to be – this ain't gonna be Bush's Republican party in the
sense of President Bush's policy.

And that is why Biden is one of the best statesmen we have! He has a history of building relationships on both sides of the isle. He is known as a straight shooter. He cares deeply for this country & it's citizens. It's not all about him. It's not about how he can use his position to advance his agenda, it's about how he can use his position to work for & help our country. It speaks volumes that Obama had the good sense & judgment to select Biden as his running mate!!

Seeing Tom Delay on Hardball this past week was sickening. The difference between these two men (Delay & Biden), these two types of men, is so stark that it's shocking! And what amazes me is how after all the corruption & divisiveness & greed of the past eight years, after the complete destruction of our reputation globally, that there is any backwash left at all! But there is! And they're all going to Palin's rallies. And if Obama/Biden win this thing, it's gonna get ugly. These people are poor winners. I remember how my mother gloated in '04. She was just plain nasty & mean. They will be even worse as losers!

4. You know I hope McCain does not reject Joe. Joe is such a good guy and friend to people
I would hate to see him let down by John but I have a feeling McCain will let his pride get in the way and not speak to Joe for awhile. If he does that then its his loss, a loss of a great and genuine friend. And I love that Joe works with the other side, it made me look at Chuck Hagel and Dick Luger in a different way. Joe also was the only Dem asked to speak at Strom Thurmond's funeral and went to Jesse Helm's funeral too. The man is a wonderful person, seeing beyond people's views and connects with everyone.
