Ok - my first FU Rachel thread.
Everyone has been bashing her out there, and I have been defending her.

She's doing a recap of the election and hit Biden hard twice.
First she played his 7/11 comments... excuse me.... Biden was even't a candidate yet.
And then the clip of Biden asking the man in the wheelchair to stand up.

Leave my Biden ALONE!

1. really? Ugh. Wasn't crazy about some of KO's special either

didn't see Rachel's. I think her TV show is a bit snarky and not enough content but maybe that's due to the TV format and I'm more used to radio. I do worry about her trying to do some fair and balanced stuff - I do NOT get her tolerance of Buchanan.

I wonder if Rachel has even met Biden yet. Chris Matthews loves him I think, and KO, Todd, Alter, others respect him.

2. Candy Crowley gave Biden some love today.
She was repeating some of his jokes and laughing.

CNN played a clip of his speech today in Fla and Biden said something about going off script and Crowley was talking about that saying that's what people love about Joe and she bet it gave his handlers a heart attack when he said that.

About Rachel - I don't know what's up with her.
I'm wondering if she was told to be fair and balanced or something.

If she wanted to have a little fun with Biden, fine.
But both of those clips were totally uncalled for. Joe felt bad when he asked that man to stand up -
she knew that it was an honest mistake....and the 7/11 clip - why? Why would she show that? grrr.

3. I can understand "fair and balanced",
but why is it always Biden that gets the crap? He hardly deserves as much ridicule as he has been receiving and it is the same material over and over again. There is so much positive there that they could easily offset the bad moments with a plethora of good ones.

I hate that one about the guy in the wheel chair. It was an honest mistake, he wasn't being rude or insensitive.

Almost over! I'm watching a movie, trying to get my mind off politics for a while.

12. And I think Joe Scarborough really likes him, too -- as does Randi.
To know him is to love him, apparently. :)

4. I'm so tired of this
He is not a gaffe machine. I hate when those who are supposed to be on our side buy into that crap.

Biden is one of the most respected leaders in the world. If he could take personal calls from world leaders who would rather talk to him than talk to this administration that says a lot.

If he was such a gaffe machine I imagine the MSM would have reported on some gaffe he's said to foreign leaders that jeopardized our relations with those countries.

They've created a narrative about him and will try their best to make it true.

10. Which makes me glad Biden was not our nominee.
The press would have made him crazy.

Obama makes gaffes - and Palin does all of the time, as does McCain....
But it's only Biden that gets called out on it.

bullcaca.

6. I couldn't agree more!
Where the hell have they been the last eight years every fucking time the chimp opens his mouth? Free pass for the worst president of the United States, but they rake Biden over the coals every chance.

7. Rachel is not my favorite, she is a bit of a Debbie Downer.
I think the MSM picks on Biden because they can't say anything else bad about him and they are always critical of candidates looking for any weakness. Biden is such a good guy too so its hard for the MSM to come up with much. Funny how Candy Crowley said that about Joe, bet you she loves him just as much as we do, how can one not like Joe, personality wise (leaving politics out of it). He always makes me smile.

8. The problem with the media
is they get in the "habit" of reporting people a certain way and they just keep repeating the same old crap. Very two-dimensional, black & white thinking.

9. I wanted to like her show
I liked her as an analyst. I never listened to her radio show. She's said that she has always been the eternal pessimist.

It's comes across as whiny to me.
