Imagine going down to the gym, and running into Joe.. |
|
When USA TODAY's Kathy Kiely went down to the fitness center at her Chicago hotel this morning, there was Vice-president elect Joe Biden. She files these notes;
Biden seemed to be trying to stay incognito with a tan New Mexico baseball cap pulled low over his brow, but your correspondent outed him with a cheery "good morning senator." He said he was trying to work off 6 pounds gained during the campaign but looked fit in black sweats and a grey Army t-shirt.
The Delaware senator raved about future first lady Michelle Obama, calling her "the most impressive person I've met in 35 years."
"I like him. I LOVE her," he said of the Obamas.
Of his own future, Biden joked that he's looking forward to "my first crack at public housing." -------------
Black sweats and a t-shirt....someone get me some cold water - quick ;)
Wow - both Joe and Jill are really impressed with Michelle.

10. How cool to have a team that really likes & respects each other, |
|
not just a team chosen for the voters they would appeal to!
I love that our two leading men have such great relationships with their spouses!

3. I heard a professor from Harvard |
|
on TV (Charlie Rose, I think) talking about teaching Michelle and Barack. He said they both were impressive, but it was Michelle that he saw going all the way to the top. He saw Barack as a future mayor, not future president! Interesting perspective.

I hope we get the opportunity to learn more about her.
I really don't know much about her other than her career and that she is a fantastic mother and wife, and a fashionista :)

8. That was funny - especially about his finger. |
|
Surprising to see Axelrod there. I didn't realize that they went back that far.
