Article: Could VP residence stifle Biden's creativity?
"WASHINGTON -- Vice President-elect Joe Biden hand-selected every light fixture and doorknob in his Greenville, Del., estate, a custom lakefront property he designed himself.

He has been known to read Architectural Digest and sketch home designs in his spare time. His "number one hobby" is his home, said his friend and former chief of staff Ted Kaufman, who will replace him in the U.S. Senate.

"He's always doing something," he said. "He just wants to change something."

The temptation to knock down a wall or two may be profound as Biden and his wife, Jill, inherit a new set of blueprints come Jan. 20. But his creativity may be tempered at his new address on Observatory Circle."

I had no idea Joe was so good at architecture, he could have had a different career altogether. Hey, if he gets bored being VP (which I doubt) he can come over to my house and and fix it up.:)

1. When he's done at your house, he can come to mine.
It should provide quite a challenge!

3. I've read mention of his architecture interest a couple of places
about him sketching plans on the train, driving Jill nuts with little changes. Also she said she told him just as he was supportive of her going back to school, if he ever wanted to go back to school to be an architect she'd be supportive of him.

My guess is they'll do long weekends at the house in Delaware and he can tinker there.

4. After the Cheney's move out - I say go ahead Joe.
But first start with an exorcism :)

I read somewhere that when Obama was younger he too wanted to be an architect.
Interesting that they both have creative personalities.

6. That is funny. Maybe someday, when they are done with government they can have their
own fix it up show.

7. Biden lives at Home Depot...just like my father in law
Ironic too, that Barack Obama said if he wasn't a politician, he may have been an architect

Well, they're helping us to rebuild our country, so that's something....
