1. Busy with the holidays.

number in NC. I hope she is OK.

It's not like her not to pop in and say hi, even if it's just for a minute.

VI has disappeared. So has corona. Everyone else just seems to pop in every now and then.

4. I'm doing the Holiday Pets thing again

so I've been massively busy gathering all the submissions. It's fun though, and I enjoy it. Right now I am not very busy. Going skiing over Xmas, so no tree, no muss/no fuss.

spent a wee bit too much time following an election if you know what I mean... Now I wish I had the time to spend paying more attention to the transition, but I've been spending less time on the internet.

Most of the way through a huge project at work.

Dealing with snow (very thankful not to get the ice storm).

8. I think it is normal to push away for a bit

so one can adjust one's perspective. Nonstop politics for over a year is a bit much. I'm trying to change my focus. I know there used to be more to life than politics, just can't remember what it entailed.

A new acquaintance asked me what I read & I said mostly politics. It hit me that before this administration, I read mostly sci fi. I've read five sci fi books this year, so it's getting better. ;) Also, I started an online programming class a few weeks ago, so I actually find myself offline most of the time. ;) It's good to have something new to learn & focus on, but I promise, I will never be as ignorant about what's going on as I used to be!

I would like to get a balance back to my life, but I'm determined to stay informed from now on. There have been times in the past where I'd vowed to keep abreast of current events, but strayed from my commitment. The past eight years have been a wakeup call for so many people.

Now I'm committed to being a "witness" to the history I'm living through.

15. Considering the state of DU these days I don't think I will be hanging around here

much. I have presents to wrap and cookies to bake and my little 3 year old is just about potty trained (:)....the happiest day of my life) so we are working on that.
