Are we EVER going to get to change our names on DU?

I saw a thread before Xmas, has anyone seen anything floating around lately? I seriously want a name change! 48% is associated now with the morons who voted for McFailin!!

but I'd been lurking quite some time before that. Evidently I'd signed up when there was a post I wanted to answer. I didn't even remember being a member until I tried signing up a couple years ago.

Why don't you start a "name amnesty" thread out there in GD? I think there are a lot of people who would be interested.
