I have no need to change. I guess I could change my name to piranha to shut up some people around here - but - no way. Pirhana has meaning to me...so I will continue to stand up to my critics ;)

I used the nickname Livvy before I came here. It's a play off my last name, so it works for a lifetime. Since coming here, I've used it more often. There's a couple people at work that call me that. I think I think of myself more as livvy than I do my real name, which I've never really liked!

It was over ten years ago that it was my ID at a company I worked for and I've used it for many things since then.
I like Livvy. Its cool and I haven't run into anyone else with that name.

It was an assigned ID. If there were any others with the same letters, they would be 02, 03, etc. That happened to people with common names like Bob Smith.

I like yours, too. I pronounce it in my head like tazegate. I think the first couple of times I saw it, I misread the letters and then added a few of my own. Anyway, by the time I really looked at the letters, it was too late, so tazegate you are in Livvy's deranged world. :silly:

18. Yup, it's a nickname for my last name... |
|
I sign most of my notes to the kids in my class, (and their parents, too) Mrs. Liv, and when I write a note to the office, I sign it Livvy. It makes it easy for people from here, too, when we've had meet-ups. They don't have to remember another name. Got it on my license plate, but had to add another letter. Someone else had already "stolen" it. LOL I thought about using DU LIVVY on my plate, but had second thoughts, after I realized most people would read it "do Livvy"...not good, not good at all. Not exactly the kind of attention I had in mind.

Now that could be confused with the current outgoing President....I think I would be careful with that name.
How was your trip to N.D.???.....did you find out what real cold was like??
After looking at the link you provided I remember I am aware of cow candy. I've seen the stuff, but don't know much about it.
I would like to change my name to Jericho...I've used that name since about 97 on various sites. I even signed up here a few years ago and then promptly lost my password....also moved and changed email...so I suppose I can never use that name here.....although I have never really asked.

46. We didn't bring back a wheelbarrow full of $, but |
|
it went well for our team. Not so good for the opposition. We'll be working with the bank, it looks like, to take back the technology...maybe even the whole plant. Yes, I know real cold now. Thursday night, after our flight out of Fargo was finally canceled, and taking the shuttle back to the hotel, we walked a block for dinner. Minus thirty-seven with an 8 mph wind. Remember how meat is when it's starting to freeze, but not yet solid? That was my face after one block. Mother of Buddha. A person could die in that shit, REAL fast. Got back home around 1730 last night. I'm still sleeping as much as I can to catch up. A week of 0500 to midnight, and eating out (not a good place for a vegetarian, Fargo isn't)is no good for someone turning 60. But, I'm a soldier, and do what has to be done 'till I fall. Like the walls. Of Jericho.
Peace.

Although it does make it hard to defend Joe sometimes because I feel people will just dismiss me as a crazed Bidenite. On the bright side, these days there doesn't seem to be that many situations where Joe is being bashed in GDP and there is never a lack of defenders thanks to everyone in JBSG.

Yes, Joe is really viewed very positively at DU these days and it is very satisfying after all the months of defending him. Evidently it was only a small handful of Biden haters, but it sure seemed like the whole world at the time.
You are right, there are plenty of us to defend him again if it becomes necessary.
