I can imagine that happening a lot. I'm glad they put the name change message in bold red. I've been trying to pay attention. I noticed you just shortened yours.

It is a lot easier to address me as Pat than tsegat01. When I first signed up years ago, I wasn't thinking about it as a "name", but more as a login.
Your name still has personal significance and I really like it. I wouldn't change it if you are comfortable with it.
