I've been glued to CSpan most of the day - they are fighting over the stimulus bill. It's so weird

when they do the rollcall to hear "Kaufmann" and not hear "Biden".
Jeez - I've been following that guy on the Senate floor since the middle of 2004.

Anyway - it's been a rollercoaster day on the Senate Floor.
A couple of great moments. Boxer totally threw Lindsay Graham off his game when he was whining on the Senate floor. She pretty much got up and made fun of him - it was great :)
And both of McCain's amendments were defeated.


The final vote should come sometime tonite.

1. I just got home

I've been reading some of the posts......watching just a small amount of cable news and trying to get the gist of today.
I have to admit.....I feel unbelievably nervous about this. Am I putting too much emphasis on the bill passing??.....maybe, but it still feels huge.

I suppose I should go watch C-span for awhile..

I would have loved to watch a smackdown of Lindsay!!

I saw a clip of it on MSNBC. This is insane. The republicans are making fools of themselves. I'm so tired of their BS. They made this mess and now we are suppose to take them seriously? They are a one trick pony - tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts. It is their answer to everything.

10. I was sitting here this morning

I was thinking to myself.....why would anyone listen to the Republicans? They have been an unmitigated disaster for our country. I am so sick of seeing all that whining and crying and how unfair it is too them. Grow the hell up already!!....It did seem like cable news carried more of the whiners than it did any Democrats...

Let's pass this thing before it gets torn apart and made into something unrecognizable. Damn the partisan shit.....this country is in trouble!! This bill has given me hope that I haven't had for along time. I know the future looks tough for awhile and probably will be. Let's have something that may shorten that misery...

11. The republicans just didn't get the message

They need to either change or shut up. Rove is not the Wonder Boy anymore and the country has rejected their policies. The Democrats gave into enough of their demands on this bill and they still weren't appeased. I think they would have rejected any version of the bill just so they could throw a hissy fit.

I am more disgusted with them than before and I didn't think that was possible.
