WASHINGTON -- Inside Jill Biden's classroom, there are no cameras and no reporters. There is no talk of politics (at least on her part). Secret Service agents keep watch, but they are hidden in an adjacent room.

The venue is different -- Jill, now the country's second lady, left her position at Delaware Technical & Community College in Stanton and took a job at Northern Virginia Community College soon after husband Joe's inauguration day.
Inside the classroom, there is a routine and comfort level built over a 28-year teaching career. Outside the classroom, however, everything is brand-new.
When Jill isn't at school, she's in a corner suite at the Old Executive Office Building adjacent to the White House. She plans events and works with a six-member staff in an office decorated with fresh flowers and artwork she selected from the collection of the National Gallery of Art.
Although she still describes the family's Greenville house as "home," she and Joe return most nights to Number One Observatory Circle, the vice president's residence.
The day-to-day routine is more hectic. Millions of people are keeping an eye on what Jill says, what she wears and what she eats. The family still gathers regularly at their new home, but Joe's extensive travels mean the couple is spending more time apart. For the past 100 days, she and the rest of the family have been adjusting to life on a grander scale, and all of the blessings and stress that come with it.

I love Jill. She and Michelle are both so down to earth and easy for other women to relate to.
