Sometimes there are a lot of posts that interest me and I get caught up in a discussion. Other times, I just check the headlines briefly.

9. hey

I've been putting in lots of extra time at work trying to finish one awful project that has made me hate my job.

It's 5 steps forward, 4 steps back all the time. I'm not a computer programmer but I've been having to teach myself programming so I can fix this stupid, poorly programmed database that I'm supposed to use. I have wasted SO MUCH TIME and have little to show for it, and my boss on my back about getting to the actual tasks that I've supposed to have done by now with it.

Sigh.

That conjures up some icky memories. I've had to deal with some hideous programs knowing someone got paid big bucks for the useless crap.

13. For all the time I've spent fighting it,

I could have taken a semester of programming and written it from scratch. It's supposed to be shared by several groups around the country, but I don't see how as we've had to fix so many bugs in it - and I usually can't wait for the programmers elsewhere to get around to fixing it - have to fix it and move on myself. :banghead:
