I read once that Bobby Kennedy called Jack Mr. President (I could be wrong, but I got the impression he did it even when they were alone). And I know one refers to the President as The President (as Hillary used to, now she refers to him as Bill), same with Jackie, I think.

Anyway, I'm assuming his staff calls him Mr. P, just wondered if you think Joe does, too? I heard him once, at a talk, say "Barack" then seemed to catch himself and said "The President".

1. I wonder
I think Joe would be inclined to say "Mr. President", but its possible that Obama might insist on a more informal address in private.

2. Ha! I think just the opposite, that Joe would be more inclined to call him
Barack, and Obama might prefer Mr. P.

We'll never know for sure. Thank God it's not an IMPORTANT questions! :hi:

3. Its just Joe has dealt directly with presidents
for a long time and I think he's pretty disciplined about protocol. I think when he slips in public and says "Barack", that could be because he does call him by his first name in private.

4. My guess is he calls him Mr. President, and Mr. President calls him Joey.

6. I picture Biden using both - depending on what he wants.
Mr President, I don't think sending more troops to Afghanistan is the answer or

Barack - what do you think of this or that.

Ya know - is he buttering him up for something or is he going to challenge Obama.
