Police car ahead of Joe Biden's motorcade crashes on way to film 'Daily Show with Jon Stewart'

An NYPD squad car traveling ahead of a motorcade for Vice President Joseph Biden crashed into a livery cab in rush-hour traffic on the West Side on Tuesday, police said.

The motorcade for Biden - in town to film an appearance on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" - was not involved in the 5:40 p.m. smash-up, a police source told the Daily News.

Biden made it to the studio just fine, and the taping wrapped up shortly before 7 p.m., a spokesman for Comedy Central confirmed.

Still doesn't explain why I couldn't get it on my satellite tho, it says he did make it there.
Holy cow - I bet he was really shaken up.

7. Just saw that on our local news
Plus there were two other times that there was some accident that involved Joe's motorcade - very weird.

I have DirecTV and got to see Joe okay. You should be able to see it online or look for a rerun. That's strange that Dish TV didn't have it on tonight.

11. I don't know what happened. It didn't record when it was suppose to, so I waited for the rerun
and some cartoon show came on....I was beginning to think it was a conspiracy against me seeing Joe :)
Then all of the sudden the cartoon switched to the Daily Show. Bizarro - but at least I got to see him...all conspiracy theories are off - hehe.

8. Joe was great!
Jon was a little snarky, but Joe handled it well "Think of all those Republicans!" lol...

Charming as ever.

9. He really was!
He displayed his usual wit and extensive knowledge. I hope we'll see more interviews like this. Joe is a great asset to this administration and they really should take better advantage of his skills. When Joe explains things, people really get it.

10. I almost fell off the couch when he said that - that was a slam at Arizona.
He was here - he knows.

Jon is always snarky - but usually that's okay. I'm beginning to think that he is the best reporter around.
I was really impressed the way Joe handled Jon - especially after that accident, you know Joe must've been a little shaken up.

And that bow was HILARIOUS :P

13. Does anybody have the link to the extended interview?
I was just on TDS website and it wasn't there.

I wanna see the whole thing - don't want to miss a minute of Joe.

I'll tell ya - I'm like a little kid when he's on tv - I get soooo excited. Probably a good thing I didn't get to see him in person, I just might've had a heart attack :) Jill, on the other hand, was visiting a community college in the area. I would've loved to meet her. Ahhh next time....

14. I got the impression
that there was no extended interview, that Stewart was just making a joke about Joe's propensity to talk a lot. Usually they have a notice on the screen to go to their website for the extended interview.

15. Hmmm - that could be.
I got the impression that he was making a joke and saying the extended interview would be posted.

We'll have to wait and see.

18. I know
We're lucky to just get a glimpse now and then. Its easy to forget how persuasive and informative he can be. I really, really hope the administration is considering putting Joe "out there" more. It would make such a big difference and Obama just isn't all that convincing on the issues. Being president is a lot different than being the candidate, which isn't his fault. Joe can do and say things that the president can't.

If they are happy with Joe's appearance on The Daily Show, maybe we will see more of him on TV.

19. I just love how he explains things. He has a way of speaking in simple terms
without making people feel like he's talking down to them....and I am happy that he is watching what he says now, and how long he takes to say it. You can tell that he is getting alot more respect from the media.

But - you gotta admit that part about the Senate drowning was hilarious. Matthews had it in his sideshow today.

20. How many times did we say that about Joe?
That we learned so much from him, without feeling dumb? He HAS shown great discipline, but has maintained that authentic Joe persona that makes him so persuasive. Of course, I want more!!!

Last night Stewart spoke about what a big first it was to have a sitting VP on the show and then played clips of Sarah from the news all day. I'm glad Matthews showed a clip from his appearance. Its been a good week for Bidenites.
