4. Just visited the vet on Tuesday for the second part of her Kitten Wellness package. |
|
Initially she was malnourished and flea-ridden. Now she's very healthy and flea-free!
She's still so cute all the techs were coming in and squealing (she's about to grow out of that stage, though).
I expressed my concern, and my vet agreed, that she was a tad too aggressive. I can't go to pet her without her attacking my hand. I try to put her down and it's like she's glued to me, hanging on so tight and gnawing away. I'd read where kittens who are separated from their littler too early don't learn the boundaries they do from playing with their littermates, who give them a swat when they cross the line. She's a sweetie, too, don't get me wrong, but I don't want to assume it's something she'll grow out of.
I left the vet with a handout entitled "Feline Terrorist! - Controlling the little beast" and a referral to a Pet Behavior Counselor.
I of course don't have the money for the counselor, so I've been really trying to be consistent about making sure I put her down when she attacks (having to un-peel her off my arm). I'm also thinking about getting Bach Rescue Remedy for Pets because I've read some amazing testimonials.
I've got to get a pic of her because I know you're dying to see her!
Thanks for asking! :hi:

Oh, how funny!
I know what you mean about being separated from the litter too young. The siblings really do teach them how to play and they keep one another in line, very much like human children.
Yes, definitely need an updated pic!
