ehhhhh - Biden is going to have to swear in Scott Brown. |
|
Oh to be able to read Joe's mind while he's doing that.

1. He's seen so many come and go |
|
and he'll be as gracious and respectful as ever, at least on the outside! Politics are getting stranger and stranger all the time. I never thought I'd see MA elect someone like Brown.

3. You're not alone. Unfortunately, I guess that's what the WH, the Dem 'machine' |
|
and Cokely thought, too.
I think because WE can see the bullshit the Reps are continually spreading, everyone can see it. We're wrong, obviously.
I'm so angry, hurt and sad by this outcome. Not just because it's Kennedy's seat, but of how his election throws a wrench in the works of absolutely everything we're trying to accomplish. It's like we had the world, or the hope, in our hands for an instant, but now it's gone. :(

4. There are a lot of flaws in Democracy, |
|
especially if the electorate is uninformed. I really expected more from a state like MA though.
This whole thing about the Dems have to have a 60 seat majority is ridiculous. The republicans haven't had that kind of majority since the 1920's and look at all the crap they've passed. The Dems have to start acting like the party in power or they won't be for long.

6. Look at what Obama said today (which kind of bursts the 'dems have to start |
|
acting like the party in power.." balloon:
it's time to come together around a bill that can draw Republican support, too.
Can you fucking believe it? I am spitting I'm so mad!

9. I just tried to follow the link, but it didn't have that quote -- and even in the |
|
post it was more of the column writer's extrapolation.
But believe me, Obama's said a few things that aren't too far from that. The only acceptable thing would have been "That's fucking enough! No more Mr. Nice Guy!'
I just saw Joan Walsh on Tweety -- she was on fire. I'm going to start following her on Salon, I'm very impressed.

2. I know. The only redeeming thought is that Cheney had to swear in people |

5. I love the visual on that one |
|
I can see Cheney biting his tongue, trying not to tell the new senator to go f*#$ him/herself!
