This isn't his job. I love Hillary - but it's her job, and didn't Obama appoint someone - Mitchell? - who is suppose to be an expert in Mideast relations?
I'm sure Joe loves it, but he really is being pulled in alot of directions - the stimulus, green job creator, middle class relations, Iraq, Cheney attacker extraordinaire, what else am I missing?

2. I'm thinking it's because Joe probably has more of a 'history' with so many of |
|
these people and they can dispense with the 'getting to know you' part? Maybe?
OR -- maybe it's because Hillary is already got a whole lot going on herself? :shrug; She seems to be zipping around all over the place, too.
I'm sure Joe loves it, too (remember when what he really wanted was to be SOS?) -- but I agree, he's got so much he's responsible for. Well, he did tell Obama he wanted to be really involved. Be careful what you ask for, Joe.
It will be interesting to see how often this happens in the future -- if it's pretty much a one shot deal or if he does more of the foreign relations duties than we'd expect.
You left out US Ambassador to the Olympic Games. :7

3. Joe does have more history with world leaders |
|
plus he has a far better personality than Hillary. As talented as she is, I don't think she clicks with as many people as Joe does.

4. He does come across more warmly -- hand around the shoulder, 'how you |
|
doin' man?' Hillary is more reserved. With Joe's long history in foreign relations, and with the importance of Israel and the potential trouble w/Iran, and with that scary war-loving Netanyahu, Joe was the best choice.

5. She was pretty good today when someone asked her if she would be afraid if Palin became President. |
|
lol - she couldn't have responded any better.
If you haven't seen that clip, let me know, and I will find it for you. It is a must see.

6. I saw that -- and the guy asked if she'd emigrate to Canada or something -- |
|
too funny! I think she's really good and she's always good in any situation. Great sense of humor and I bet she'd be a hoot if you became close to her (like the pics of her and Joe guffawing like they're cutting up in class!).

but I know she has a very quick wit, which could be why some men tend to resent her.

I did end up seeing it later on Countdown. She's quick and I loved her laugh.

7. Unfortunately a lot of people don't trust Hillary |
|
but Joe comes across as so genuine. I understand that Hillary is supposed to be a really down-to-earth person with a great sense of humor, but that is not the person we often see. It really pissed me off the way her campaign advisers handled her during the election. I think she would have done much better if she could have been more herself. Of course, she has to take some of the blame for that herself, as she should have put her foot down more often.
