"We request the National Assembly speaker to dismiss William Ojeda as Vice-President of the Standing Committee of Worship and Penitentiary Regimes for having an improper conduct on the media by delivering messages of uncertainty and anguish, moving far from his duty and responsibilities inherent in his current incumbency," the deputy said during the session where the recent events at Rodeo I and II prisons were being discussed.
She also asked the Media Committee to undertake an investigation into private media for using information "destabilizing citizenship."
In addition, Santaella noted the urgent need to appoint a special committee to assess the actions that "incite violence" by opposition deputies "so as to ascertain whether they are some of the assumptions set forth to remove parliament immunity."
