Exports of several Bolivian goods to Venezuela have plunged this year "basically" out of bureaucracy in Caracas, affirmed Goran Vranicic, the president of private National Chamber of Bolivian Exporters (Caneb).
"They are bureaucratic troubles; basically in Venezuela, there are hurdles in handling of exports, in handling of requests for import licenses," Vranicic told AFP.
He explained that such a situation is harmful. "Venezuelan businessmen are interested in the products we export, such as oleaginous, fabrics, leather and timber."
Exports in the first half of 2011 slumped to USD 15 million compared with USD 125 million in the same period of time last year, reported Bolivian daily newspaper Página Siete.
