he head of the Argentine Agrarian Federation (FAA), Eduardo Buzzi, blasted the national government during a meeting as he remarked “We cannot allow a deepening of the economic concentration and see how farmers continue to disappear.”
Buzzi gave a speech during a national meeting that was attended by delegates from agrarian federations of Santa Fe, Córdoba, Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Tucumán, Catamarca, Formosa, Salta and Jujuy. There, hundreds of producers chose their candidates for directors of national FAA to speak in the next FAA Annual Conference to be held in October.
The farmers’ leader summarized what the FAA has done during the last year, and urged for more public policies.
“We should keep fighting to and insisting for the need of differentiated public policies towards the agribusiness sector.”
