Some Newton Leroy Gingrich Fun Facts.
As a high school student Newt had an affair with his high school teacher geometry teacher and after he graduated high school they got married he was 19 and she was 26. His wife helped him through both undergrad and graduate school by working and doing much of his class work for him. Together they had 2 daughters. In 1980 Newt started a relationship with another women who would later on become his second wife. Newton Leroy Gingrich is reported to have asked for or wanted to discuss the terms of a divorce when he visited his wife who was in the hospital being treated for cancer.
In 1981 married his second wife but he continued to have numerous affairs and when confronted by his wife about his affairs as he was a member of the House of Representatives and a very public spokesman for morals and family values Newton Leroy Gingrich was reported by his second wife as saying something to the effect of, "It is not important what I do but what I say." Newton Leroy Gingrich divorced his second wife either before or after she contracted M.S..
One of the affairs Newton Leroy Gingrich had was with a staff person who was 23 years Newton Leroy Gingrich's junior. Her name was Callista Bisek. Newton Leroy Gingrich's affair w/Ms. Bisek was ongoing as he seeking to have President Clinton removed from office for his moral failings.
In 2000 Newton Leroy Gingrich married Ms. Bisek. In 2009 became a Catholic like his wife. Newton Leroy Gingrich said that seeing the "inner peace and joy" that came from Pope Benedict's persona helped to convince him to become a Catholic.
In 2011 Newton Leroy Gingrich told the Christian Broadcasting Company that his affairs were in part because of his passionate feelings for his country.
Newton Leroy Gingrich also had to resign form his Speakership in the House of Representatives and the Congress in disgrace because of personal use of campaign funds.
Newton Leroy Gingrich is the only speaker of the House to have been sanctioned w/a charge of ethics violations.
In the 1980s when a mother drowned her 2 young children by driving a car into a lake in South Carolina Newton Leroy Gingrich blamed the murder on the influence of the liberal policies of the Democrats. (She was the daughter of the local county Republican chairman)

While Mr. Nussle was running the press was very quiet about the sffair he had with a congressional staffer that eventually led to his divorce and marriage to that staffer. Nussle was introduced to the staffer by Gingrich. From what I understand, they often double-dated.
