| Unemployment drops in three-quarters of US states |
|
GOPers, What do you say about unemployment again? The Labor Department says unemployment rates fell in 36 states in October and rose in only 5. Rates were unchanged in 9 states. That's the best showing since April, when rates fell in 39 states. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20111122/us-state-unemployment/

I hope to see these numbers aren't revised down in the coming months, and this is a start of a new trend.
The current trend seems to be this: In May: "Great numbers for April, job growth at 3.5%" In June: "April job growth revised down to 2.9%, but May job growth at 3.5%" In July:"April job growth revised down to 2.2%, May job growth revised down to 2.9%, but June job growth at 3.5%"

| 4. I'll tell you what the GOPers would say |
|
they would say, ok, the unemployment situation is now fine and dandy so let's start taking care of the rich people's needs like cutting taxes and cutting spending so we can cut taxes even more.
What progressives should say is, that's not nearly good enough, we're still in a jobs emergency and we should be focussed on stimulating the economy, not on deficit reduction.

..snip..
Unemployment rates fell in 36 states in October and rose in only 5, the Labor Department said Tuesday.
...
Illinois added 30,000 jobs, the most among states.
...
Wisconsin reported the biggest job loss, a drop of 9,700,
..end..
Thanks Governor Walker, for making us so special! It's working!
And right wingers are correct when they say that high taxes in Illinios are bad for jobs.
Sarcasm thingy.

More than half the people classified as unemployed are not collecting benefits.
