| Bachmann: Cain is done, Newt is next |
|
http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/bachmann-cain-done-newts-next/226961
Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., indicated that the latest allegations against Herman Cain will end his campaign, which she thinks will benefit her presidential candidacy, and she levelled a series of attacks at the surging Newt Gingrich.
"When came out yesterday, everyone said 'this is it he's done,'" Bachmann answered when Minnesota talk show host Scott Hennen asked if Cain is finished. "People just don't see that there is an ability for him to be able to come back after that."
Bachmann told Hennen that Cain's fall helps her. "I think all of these do benefit me," she said. "I think that Rick Perry's slide in the polls benefits me, I think that with Herman Cain, and I think now we're re-looking at Newt Gingrich because more information is coming out."
She criticized Gingrich for his work as a lobbyist, and reminded voters of her opposition to Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., over global warming -- which seemed like an allusion to the global warming video that Gingrich shot with Pelosi.
"Common sense conservative voters are looking for their champion," Bachmann added. "I think they'll be coming home."

| 3. And she's still deluded enough to think that the collapse of Cain |
|
will actually help her campaign.

| 9. Honestly, I think it will. Where else will they go? To Newt? Perry? |
|
They've already sealed their fates with their stance on immigration. Maybe they'll go to Santorum, but I doubt it.

| 4. Michele, sweetie, you've already had your fifteen minutes |
|
Look how deluded she is. She can say "common sense conservatives" will come home to her, when she is neither a conservative nor in possession of common sense.

| 8. How can Newt not be cheating with a 500k bill at Tiffany's? |
|
The other shoe will drop and it will drop soon. I hope the DNC keeps focused on Romney, while the other GOP nuts destroy each other leaving Bachmann (or Palin) as the nominee. That would make me soooo happy :)
