Speak for yourself. For your information, jobs bring higher wages. When jobs come along it's called an employees job market, and these employees can then demand higher wages. But when there are no jobs it's an employers job market and businesses can then keep the wages down because there are so many job seekers to choose from.
And speak for yourself on post #5. I won't be holding my nose when voting for Obama in 2012.

Mormons and Catholics, neither of which are 'real Christians' to the fundy republican base.
I am going to advise/remind my fundy acquaintances of the existence of the Constitution Party. Hopefully the (inaptly named) Constitution Party will put up a nice acceptable fundy for them to vote for.

He is the only adult in the room (and has been for quite some time). It appears however that he simply doesn't have the passion some people require when it comes to solving problems. Will he be re-elected...I don't know...come back on November 7, 2012 for the answer.

Will it make you tingly if most of DU simply thinks he's the lesser of two evils?
Or are you rooting for the GOP because you're not over 2008?
:eyes:
ps - he'll win because he is smart, sane, thinks for the long term (pity for the 'I want it now! crowd) and is the kind of leader we need when the crazy / ignorant / hysterical abounds.

The man has done more is 3 years, than any 8 year president in my memory. Do a search for "Obama accomplishments". I think you'll be surprised. Sure he caved on some items, but that is what bipartisanship is all about. I remember he really got me pissed last year when he passed on the tax the rich tax. But I believe he has a plan to help us get out of this mess. Or at least get us going in the right direction. As bad as this country was when Bush passed the baton, I think we're doing somewhat better. On top of that, the republican party is in shambles and apparently loves babbling idiot flip flopping clowns. No one will even come close to beating him. I think he needs to get 4 more years, finish it off, and go down in history, as reviving this country. How's that for optimism?

With DADT, there was a LOT of publicity about it, and we have Lt. Daniel Choi to thank for that.
And, as for Iraq, we were kicked out of there, and Obama wanted to stay.
