I just heard this on the KOIN 6 live coverage...
Non violence is critical to this being a successfully movement. And the citizens of Portland shined proudly IMHO.
The protesters were circles by a throng of bicyclists & all in all it was a peacefull night despite the hopes of the RW.
They did say a "fence" was planned to encircle the protest area-that would not be good & I'm sure will meet with great but peacefull Resistance!
Viva la Occupation!:headbang:

|
And they are working on an agreement to help maintane & restore the parks affected as needed (to paraphrase).
He sounded very positive about all this & once again-making me proud Portland!

2. I'd bet money that no arrest record for this instigator exists |
|
He was probably congratulated, clapped on the back, and released from police custody once they were out of sight of the real protestors.

3. You're saying that Occupy turned the trouble-maker over to Police? |
|
If so....this is very good news! (I heard that someone, perhaps this sabotaging trouble-maker, threw firecrackers at a horse-mounted policeman. If true, how fucking stupid is that? A freaked out, scared horse in a crowd of thousands is NOT a good thing. Yes...arrest his stupid ass)

4. livestream just signed off |
|
they were at 14% battery and had to find a charge, and they called for more people to come down for the day and to help clean up from last night...
the guy who did the sign off was really eloquent and he said he was flabbergasted that things went as well as they did but he was grateful beyiond measure. he said we CAN change things, we all know we have to and the people showing up in solidarity shows that we the people ARE changing things. he said his spirit is feeling lighter than it has in a long time...
