By comparison to Greece, Spain, Italy, etc., the dollar is looking good.

in exchange rates.
But, inasmuch as we buy more uk exports than does any other single nation, i would think working Brits would be rooting for our economy almost as much as we are.
In all, I think you see the opening post through a very different prism than we do.
With a Democratic president in office during a bad economy, something like this is good for Democrats, to the extent that American voters are aware of it, anyway. And therefore, U.S. Democrats would be likely to rejoice over that news so close to a Presidential election, while posters from other countries have their own perspective, especially perhaps those from England.
BTW, do many Americans post on your websites?
