Oh, and, of course, Romney likes the policies of New Democrats. (What's not for a Massachusetts Republican to like?) That may be the most honest thing Romney has said while campaigning since he ran against Ted Kennedy in 1994.

We cannot always assume that Republicans mean what they say or say what they mean.

Then again, that is probably true of most politicians.
