Do the Eastwood. (It's the weekend. Come and play) |

All kidding aside, i do feel sorry for Eastwood.
First, a matinee idol, then possible THE most respected living Hollywood icon, and, then, at 82, a laughingstock and a byword.
I would not be the least bit surprised to learn he's been drinking since nomination night.
That said, let's have some fun.
Twitter coined a new verb, "Eastwooding." (Reminds me of "Jolie the leg.")
So far, "Eastwooding" is one human interacting in some way with one empty chair--although I guess you could add as many chairs as you want. (Why settle for disrepecting an invisible President when you could disrespect the entire invisible Republican side of the House or the entire invisible Republican side of the Senate?)
What would your Eastwooding video consist of?
I think my Eastwooding video would consist of the chair's serving as my dance partner and, together, we would would.....
Do the Time Warp Again.
(Guests) Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again.
(Narrator) It's just a jump to the left.
(Guests) And then a step to the right.
(Narrator) With your hand on your hips.
(Guests) You bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust. They really drive you insane. Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again.
(Magenta) It's so dreamy Oh, fantasy free me So you can't see me No not at all.
In another dimension With voyeuristic intention. Well secluded I see all...
(Riff Raff) With a bit of a mind flip...
(Magenta) You're into a time slip...
(Riff Raff) And nothing can ever be the same.
(Magenta) You're spaced out on sensation.
(Riff Raff) Like you're under sedation.
(Guests) Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again.
(Columbia) Well, I was walking down the street Just having a think When a snake of a guy Gave me an evil wink. Well it shook me up It took me by surprise He had a pick-up truck And the devil's eyes He stared at me And I felt a change Time meant nothing Never would again.
(Guests) Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again.
(Narrator) It's just a jump to the left.
(Guests) And then a step to the right.
(Narrator) With your hands on your hips.
(Guests) You bring you knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust... That really drives you insane Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again. Let's do the Time Warp again
And so on

3. Actually, Reagan won't get too many votes. I'd talk to invisible Willard and invisible lyin' Ryan. |

Then again, you never know with Republicans. They might write in Reagan.
I just may write in Ted Kennedy on a few spots on my ballot today.* Hell, if Romney can campaign against an empty chair, I can nominate my beloved deceased Senator for clerk of courts, or whatever.
*Today's the Massachusetts primary. Why they switched it from Tuesday, where it's always been, is beyond me--unless they wanted it to be this week and wanted to make sure the convention vote was taken first? I think the switch is likely to guaranty lower than usual turnout. No one here expects a Thursday primary, just as no one here expects the Spanish Inquisition.
