1. I give thanks that the Future will be brighter |
|
Hopefully, the Dark Ages are behind us now. The Specter of what could have happened, had Obama lost, still weighs heavy.
Tomorrow, I will give thanks, that the People of this great Nation, were wise enough to see the approaching darkness, stepped forward with their only legitimate defense, and voted.
Happy Thanksgiving and second the Motion.

11. We do! And we shall have one. |

I even remembered to start defrosting in time.
Though that may seem like a small thing to most folks, it's a victory for someone with ADD.

14. It was the happiest TG for me *ever*, now that I'm walking in Gordon Ramsay's shoes, literally. |
|
I was having TG at my good friend's place yesterday. She happens to sometimes work for one of Gordon Ramsay's many TV shows, and somehow part of her job involves wardrobe.
Well, when Gordon's worn a pair of awesome, top brand, pricey shoes on the TV during a show (he's a millionaire restaurateur and TV host, for those who don't know of him), they can't dress him in that outfit ever again. Of course, he can, and often does keep wearing his clothes after the show, but one only needs so many pairs of awesome designer shoes, so my friend somehow ended up with half a dozen pairs of Gordon's shoes and boots from the last season of one of his shows...
Well, long story short, I wear size 13 and so does Gordon, so.... yup! I am now the proud owner of several of Gordon's actual shoes, complete with confetti stuck to the soles of one pair from the show's closing night! They've all only been worn once or maybe twice, and are in perfect condition!
So, I am now literally going to be walking in Gordon Ramsay's shoes every day! ANd they are wonderful designer shoes too... I feel like a million bucks but I'm poor as a church mouse! This is the best birthday/TG ever!!
woooo!

15. MOST AWESOME, CP! It is nice when us poor folk have something nice happen, and to hear your story, |
|
well, let's just say, that is awesome! I know you will put those shoes to good use since they weren't really, and what a nice story. My brother loves watching Gordon. He's certainly entertaining.
Glad to hear you had such a great time, and such a nice friend!

Gordon's shoe, that is.
Congrats.
If he keeps the clothes fom the shoe and does not pay for them, he is supposed to declare their value as income on his income tax return.
The IRS often uses that to nail celebrities.
Pass that on to your friend and you may end up with some shirts and trousers for Christmas!
