what happened to the poster and long time DUer, defendandprotect? I miss her. She was a friend. She posted on the OET under another name but she is no longer there either. I hope nothing bad happened.

I do read there sometimes. I think another poster at OET offended her, maybe the board owner, too. And I did not see her at OET after that. However, that does not mean much as I don't read every post there or anything close to it.
Maybe she just did not care to return to OET after that kerfuffle.
I hope that is all it is and she is posting as feistily as ever elsewhere, but I don't know.
She posts on several boards--or at least she used to--but I don't know their names anymore.
The computer in which I had them died.
If anyone finds her, please pm me.

Doing that on a political message board is a bannable offense, dammit!
As you know, she was a Democrat, but not a Dembot or an Obamabot.
I think that she had probably annoyed a lot of people here, though I don't think personal attacks were her style, unless someone attacked her personally first (much like me).
I think that, when the jury/host system went into effect, quite a few were ready to pounce.
