1. They make it look fun. |

I spent many hours sighting in hunting weapons back in the day.
It isn't as simple as buying a gun off the shelf. Black powder muzzle loaders especially require lot of time and a delicate touch. A few grains too much powder and accuracy goes off. Everything is accuracy. And accuracy isn't only determined by the hand behind the trigger, the gun must be carefully sighted in. See, gun sights are adjustable. I have never seen an accurate gun straight from the factory.
Ever shot a gun, No Elephants?

I don't think my eyes are good enough to hit small targets. But, small targets are not my goal.
I probably won't do it. I doubt I could shoot anyone, even in self defense.

3. You might find it to be an entertaining adventure. |

Maybe.
In the late 1990s I found my rear shotgun sights to be blurry. I bought a different barrel that included a scope mount. I mounted a moderately priced scope and had no problems after that. It was a great help.

the loons start shooting at us. And, by loons, I don't mean those who are clinically mentally/emotionally ill.
But, as I said, I don't think I could shoot back anyway.
If you're thinking, "But you might enjoy the experience," I have always known that I would. I might even get addicted to it.

5. Oh, gee, my prior post was ambiguous. I did not mean that I might become |

addicted to shooting at people. Ugh.
