Yes, America actually had one.

What scared me on Moyers this past weekend--links on another thread if you want to read the transcript or watch the podcast--was that the plutocrats have decided to abandon us, not only as employees, which we've known, but also as consumers.

That thought had not dawned on me, but, now that I've heard it, it fits. And it's horrifying.
