Please send a card or note to Chelsea Manning. (as Bradley Manning has asked to be called) |
|
Chelsea (formerly Bradley) Manning 89289 JRCF 830 Sabalu Road Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027-2315
I promise never to ask to sign any email petitions or write any emails or call your Senators or Congressional Rep.
But, unlike those things, I think writing Chelsea could actually serve a productive purpose.
Thanks for considering this.

1. Someone at FDL posted this address today. Maybe the post-sentencing address is different? |

Despite Chelsea's request to be called Chelsea and described with female pronouns, mail addressed to the jail must nonetheless be addressed to Bradley Manning. However, for everything but the address, please comply with her request.
I think I might try this, though.
Attn: PFC Bradley Manning (now known as Chelsea)
Don't know if it will work.
Anyway, the address.
Commander, HHC USAG Attn: PFC Bradley Manning 239 Sheridan Ave, Bldg 417 JBM-HH, VA 22211

I wish I could just edit the Op. Less confusing.

could sure use some support. It's hard to fathom the cruel suffering she will have to endure.

The government doesn't do deterrents. If they did, Dubya would be locked up.

6. The government does deterrents for behaviors that it wants to deter. |

Exposing war crimes is a behavior that the USG wishes to deter.
Committing war crimes is a behavior in which the USG wishes to engage.
Or so it might seem. Just guessing.
