For example, if someone got banned for racist or RW comments, I'd just they move elsewhere. Ditto if they got banned for personal insults.
I disagreed with some of the DU banning decisions, but I did agree with most of them.

I took an unpopular position on a controversial topic.
A teenage girl seduced an older man. The older man was prosecuted. I took the position that the girl should have faced some legal consequences as well. Everybody jumped all over me and told me I was blaming the victim. a few hours later I was banned. It was a bullshit accusation, but oh well. We are all at the mercy of the site owners.
I still visit every day to read, but I don't really miss the ability to post. I'm a solid liberal/progressive but my points of view are not always welcomed there.

I did not read it to the end. So, I did not realize it was the one you got TS'd for. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022258199Only DU3 apparently calls it PPR'd. I prefer TS'd or tombstoned. |
