We need to buy a new one and want to go to a store to see what strength we need. But I can't remember seeing them locally.
Any ideas? Perhaps an eyeglasses store?

| 2. Yes, that kind. But we need to go try them out "irl" |
|
They're sold all over the net. But we need to go to a brick and mortar store to see which one will work. The ones we have don't have any identifying info on them about the strength. So that's why we need to try them out.
How're you doing?! :hi:

| 6. Good idea to check them out before buying. I bought one |
|
via the Internet and it is too strong. It was 10X---what do I know. It makes the object I am trying to see very blurry. My good glass is old and now has scratches. I thought a new one would be a good idea. Oh Well. It was a guess as I could not find any store that sold them.

| 8. I got one at CVS. They even had lighted ones. So try a drugstore chain. |
|
I use mine in art museums (almost got into trouble with it just recently, looking at the Monet's at the MFA in boston...the guard said "too close!" and I had to back away fast).
The one I got isn't small, like the little desk types my father had (he had bad eyesight).
