No Dishwasher? Are you using too much dish detergent? |
|
I have no room in my kitchen for a dishwasher. Been doing dishes by hand for the 46 years I have lived here. Along the way, I determined I was using too much dish soap. Even a light squeeze on the bottles..no matter what brand...would add too much soap to the dishpan. A waste.
I was at a crafts store(either Michael's or AC Moore) one day and saw empty squeeze bottles of the type you could cut the pointed top to make a hole of a size for dispensing whatever you put into it. The size held 8 OZ. Hmmm.
I bought one( about 89 cents)and snipped the top to make a hole smaller than any of the dish detergent bottle holes. The container is also a little more rigid so you control the amount dispensed. Refill as needed.
Will never go back to using dish soap straight from its original bottle. I never realized that so much came out of those original soap bottles until I started this new procedure. Every savings helps. Hope you try it. I'm not sure but perhaps this type of bottle is available at Lowe's or other Home Improvement stores.
