Translation: "Elizabeth was King: now James is Queen."

That was a favorite one-liner of Sir Walter Raleigh at the time. This is mentioned by Catherine D. Bowen in The Lion and the Throne.

Naturally, we won't find this stuff on such websites as "jebus-is-lord.com." They really huff and puff to "disprove" the idea of a gay Buy-bull translator.

That's odd. When I went to London a few years ago, I picked up a little book about all the English kings--one of those things you can buy in any souveneir shop at Windsor or the Tower Or London.

It was very open about the fact that that James was gay. It was mentioned in the same matter-of-fact way as his hatred of tobacco and his belief in witches and demons (for most of his life, anyway).
