frigging deal. Europe, India, the US---huge consumption of NG to produce electricity. India needs it for that colossal NG/Electric plant that Enron built for them. Pretty sure I read somewhere that the EU has standardized on NG for new construction. Germany used to literally move towns, dig up the coal, and then put the towns back, but now they'll build NG-powered generators.

We liquify the stuff and ship it to the states just like we import Oil. There are two new LNG plants being built in Baja CA, which will de-liquify LNG and pipe it into California. Demand for NG is growing at quite a pace.

There is also a technological aspect to this: using NG powered fuel cells in conjunction with turbines it is possible to make NG/Electric plants that are 70 to 80 percent efficient, as opposed to 30+ percent from turbines alone. 70/80 percent efficiency is a pretty strong selling point.

Dirty Dick wants that NG!!
