it may well be that my husband will be the MAIN person claiming that I would not want to live like that, since I have, indeed, made this clear to him.
Further: a. I wouldn't care whether he announces my wishes before, during, or after any malpractice settlement that might or might not occur. My last wishes are about me, rather than what the rest of the U.S. might want for me. b. If I'm in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years, I sincerely hope my husband moves on with his life, and if his happiness includes meeting a new partner and starting a family, then that's also among my "final wishes."
