"Her son is widely known as "Rudy," a name he picked up after seeing the film about the lovable undersize, underdog Notre Dame football player. Jodi May says that she would love to be able to see her son play again, but right now she'd just love to hear his voice.

"I just wish things could go back to the way they were," she said. "I'm waiting for someone to tell me I'm dreaming."
